Our partner operates several furniture stores and wants to support his sales staff in finding the ideal mattress model for a customer in real time. The first step is to find out the customer’s wishes and requirements, such as the dimensions or firmness of the mattress or the estimated budget. In the next step, the data must be compared with the extensive product range, which includes numerous models with different versions up to different delivery times.
In order to support the complex sales process and find the ideal mattress for each customer, we are developing an “intelligent sales assistant” together with our partner. The software knows the different models and guides the salesperson in the store through specific questions to the customer regarding the necessary criteria for choosing the right product. Both “hard” criteria such as size and price are taken into account, as well as “soft” criteria such as sustainable production of the mattress.
