Together with our partner Gienanth, a long-established foundry, we founded Casculate. The startup offers the first AI-based pricing software for the casting industry. The solution bundles the decades of knowledge of master foundrymen and evolves it through machine learning.

The Challenge
There were increasing bottlenecks in quotation calculation in Gienanth’s industrial iron casting production. Still, at the same time, the requirements for calculation accuracy are very high. Therefore, each quotation had to be carefully processed manually.
In an industry driven by low margins and constant price wars, the automated and accurate calculation of prices is essential. Moreover, it means a strategic advantage over the competition.
Our Solution
In a co-innovation with Gienanth, we have developed an AI-based pricing software that leverages the knowledge of industry experts and continuously evolves it. As a result, the software can determine an individual price in a few seconds from standard CAD data and based on customer specifications.
At the same time, the AI provides suggestions for order disposition. For example, a specific part can be manufactured most economically and quickly.
The automated price calculation prevents miscalculations, which saves high costs. Furthermore, quotations can be created more quickly and easily, which means an advantage over the competition.

To make our solution accessible to other companies in the casting industry, we founded the startup CASCULATE in partnership with Gienanth.
We are currently developing the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) to bring the software to market as a platform solution.
